In this two day class you’ll learn to make an incredible gateaux inspired by every pastry chef’s favourite movie- Charlie and the chocolate factory.
A banana cake holds a passionfruit and banana compote, passionfruit cremeux and valrhona milk chocolate mousse. Coated in a valrhona white chocolate shell, topped with a cocoa crumb, chocolate sauce drops, passionfruit pate de fruit flowers, vanilla marshmallow flowers and mini mushrooms with a passionfruit ganache top and a banana ganache stalk.
this class contains gelatine, eggs and gluten. It can be made gluten free upon prior request. This class is nut free.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS CLASS WILL BE HELD AT OUR NEW KITCHEN: 7a Stewart drive, Newlands. There is parking in the community car park by Newlands Medical centre, behind the new world.
Class will run for about 3 hours on Saturdays the 17th and Sunday the 18th of June at 11am both days. The time may vary depending on how fast or slow everyone is. You are not required to bring anything, just wear comfortable, closed toe shoes. a lot of our classes contain gelatine, if you require a certain type of gelatine (beef or pork) please let us know.
You will be provided with a box to take your pastries home, but are welcome to bring reusable containers.
