Are you a cafe or a school, I’m so confused?
Sugar Flour started out as a Patisserie back in 2018, after a year of operation we transitioned into a pastry school, and now solely operate as a pastry school, with the occasional pop up. That means the patisserie is no longer open. For information on our pop ups follow us on Instagram or facebook, or sign up to our newsletter
Where are you located?
We have recently moved!! We are now located at 7A Stewart drive, Newlands, 6037
Is there parking?
Yes, there is a community parking lot just a minutes walk from sugar flour! If you google Newlands medical centre, it’ll take you straight through to the parking lot!
I have an allergy - Can I still attend?
Please contact us before booking a class to make sure it is suitable for you.
Will we be standing the whole time?
Mostly! There are stools that you can sit on as required, if you have significant issues standing for a significant amount of time or are worried you may not be able to complete the class please let us know and we can help you decide if the class you have chosen is suitable for you.
Can I buy a class as a gift for someone?
Due to our cancellation policy, we recommend you purchase a gift voucher, rather than a class, so that the recipient can choose a class that suits them. Our gift vouchers are available on the last page of our products section.
Do you do birthday parties/hen's parties/private classes?
Yes! send us an email to maxine@sugarflour.nz with a few details about your event, including date, number of people and if you know what class you would like to do. Please note that we no longer host childrens parties
How old do you need to be to attend a class?
Our minimum age for classes is 12 years old. Anyone up to 15 may share a space with a parent or guardian, if this is the case, please let us know in advance when booking.
Cancellation policy:
Orders for baking boxes or any other baked goods (or similar items) can be canceled up until 7 days before date of delivery. In person classes must be cancelled 10 days before the date of the class. Any classes or boxes cancelled after this timeframe will not be refunded. We require a minimum number of 4 students to run a class, any classes with less than 4 students enrolled may be cancelled, and you will be given a full refund.
COVID INFORMATION:
We are able to run classes at alert level 2 and lower. In the case of classes at alert level 2, each group will be distanced, and we request that you wear masks inside and sign in either with the QR code or manually.
Should alert levels change and your class is unable to run on the scheduled date, it will be rescheduled providing there is enough initial interest in the class. You also have the option of a credit for another class, or a refund if you wish.
